Rachel brings over a decade of legal experience to her work with you and your family. Since her graduation from Carleton College and Georgetown University Law Center, she has worked across a variety of practice areas and for a wide range of clients, allowing her to bring a broad perspective to each matter. In addition to her private practice, Rachel serves as an Adjunct Professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Outside of law, Rachel is a proud mom of two amazing boys. In her limited free time (two boys!), she is a member of the Richfield STEM School PTO, a board member of the Hale Page Diamond Lake Community Association, and advocate for children with special needs. She is also an avid book club attendee.
Rachel offers legal advocacy and mediation services in the areas of divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, adoption and post-decree disputes. Rachel's approach is to work with the parties to reduce conflict and focus on resolutions that benefit everyone involved, especially the children. Rachel will work with you to assess the best path forward for you - financially, legally and personally. Rachel is a member of the Collaborative Law Institute, Cooperative Practice Network, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. Taking the time to create, or update, your estate plan is one of the best steps you can take to protect your family. Rachel makes it easy for you to get your estate documents in place. Documents can include a will, health care directive, power of attorney, or applicable trusts, including special needs planning. All estate planning work is completed on a flat fee basis. Rachel can also assist clients navigate the probate process after the death of a loved one.
Rachel offers in-person or phone consultations between 8-1 daily or by appointment evenings and weekends. A $25 consultation fee will be charged to all family law matters. This fee will be applied towards your matter.
